The Nation's changing immigration policy shows that racial in justice is something that was attempted to be rid of completely but as time went on the crimes of race did not stop completely and because of crimes of race america is changed by the violence and hatred in america because of it.

well in my findings (yes i used the term findings), i have found (redundant?) that immigration has nothing to do with race. people immigrate, its part of the way our (and every other) country grows, both in size and culture, some will always not accept it, and there is nothing we can do about that. but more importantly the change in the policies toward it in post world war 2 America had morphed drastically in the years since 1965 for various reasons. due to paranoia from the cold war, I.E. the the red scare, people began to fear people based on there ideals (not really racist, more broader things like political opinions) its the perfect example of why citizens fear immigrants. as i stated in another post, people fear what they don't understand, any thing that is strange or foreign to them is a cause for alarm. look at sen. McCarthy's witch hunt, it cause mass hysteria and panic for most of the united states, even though his "evidence" was gossip at best.

I agree with Josh that the U.S. changed a lot of policies for immigration. As they tried to get rid of hate crimes do to race. But it did not help a lot. As more immigration contiued the hate crimes contiued. Some examples like some Irish immigrants got all the bad and dirty jobs that payed nothing. Also it still has not changed today. Like in the south some African Americans are still not treated the same.
