The U.S. was in isolation and we didn't think about entering WWII until the attack of Japanese forces in Pearl Harbor in 1941. It had forced us to fight against the Axis Powers before it was too late to control the situation of the world.

Good you both saw the isolationist policy of the US, but we were not necessarily neutral as we were giving arms and money for arms to the United Kingdom and allies via the Cash and Carry and Lend-Lease act. Then Pearl Harbor hit and we were in it for good!

The Attack on Pearl Harbor

Pearl Harbor is a harbor on the island of Oʻahu, Hawaii, west of Honolulu. Much of the harbor and surrounding lands is a United States Navy deep-water naval base. It is also the headquarters of the U.S. Pacific Fleet. The attack on Pearl Harbor by the Empire of Japan on December 7, 1941 brought the United States into World War II.

A lot of people think that the attack of Pearl Harbor was because of Isolation. Neatless to say it started when the U.S.A started the Lend Lease act with the allie powers. When Japan seized control of the souther Inochina it made the U.S.A strike a warning and stop sending embargo to Japan. Since Japan also wanted to expand to the Pacific and one day hope to seize control over the U.S.A. So on December 7, 1941 Japan bomb the coast of Pearl Harbor because it was the headquarters of the U.S Pacific Fleet. The total death was over 2,000 and 1,500 injured. Most of the military personal who died where from the battleship Arizona. Then it became a U.S.A personal problem and they went to war for freedom and most of all fighting for the people who lost their lives in the early morning of December 7.
