The Marshall Plan provided aid to reconstruct Western Europe's economy. "Industrial production increased" when "agricultural substantially surpassed pre-war levels." "Sandards of living increased dramatically" while "poverty and starvation of the immediate postwar years disappeared." It also reduced the influence of communist on Western Europe and helped gain U.S. economic relationship with Western Europe. That meant we could get more influence on Western Europe than any ohter countries and earn more money from trades with them.
